From the 30th of Oct. until the 1st of Nov. the Italian business community in China met at Yanqi Lake Sunrise Kempinsky Hotel to discuss the economic situation, problems and strategies for the future.
During the 3 days of meeting, organized by the Italian Embassy in China, representants of 37 companies discussed many critical topics regarding the chinese market, with the support of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China and the Institute for International Trade.
After a brief macroeconomic analysis made by Robert Koepp (The Economist Group) and a welcome dinner, talks began on the morning of the 31st of October, and the participants discussed various topics: the cooperation between companies and institutions in building a stronger "Italian System" and "Italian Brand" in China; the new normal, that will see the chinese economy relying more and more on consumer goods market, slowing down and gaining in quality over quantity; the One Belt One Road project, its consequences and the opportunities coming from it; the tools and platforms available for italian companies to better cooperate with the chinese counterpart, such as the Business Forum and the 3 years cooperation plan signed by the two countries Prime Ministers etc..
In the next months the proposals made during the talks will start to be implemented and Giacomini, with its long experience and strong presence in the chinese market, will be on the forefront to help building a better environment for Italian companies to prosper.
